Pga Pros Join Team At Graywood
Class A PGA professionals Kevin Tracey, Mark Moore and Tim Jaquez have joined the leadership team of the Gray Plantation Golf Club in Lake Charles, La.
Tracey has been named director of golf. He previously worked for the Austin Country Club and the Hills Country Club and will oversee Gray Plantation's 18-hole champion golf course, which Golf Digest deemed one of the top 100 public golf courses in the country. Tracey said he will focus on several enhancements, particularly to the indoor teaching academy and practice facilities.
"This golf course truly was designed with strategy in mind, and we're planning many more enhancements over the next year that will continue to add value to this incredible facility," Tracey said.
Moore has been named director of instruction. He taught with Tiger Woods' instructor Hank Haney for 12 years and has several students competing on the PGA Tour. He has also played and caddied on the nationwide tour. "In my teaching, I draw from my experiences as a student with Hank, the countless hours of studying the golf swing, the thousands of lessons I've taught, and the times I have played and caddied on the tour to make sure my students get the most out of their time," Moore said.
Jaquez has PGA Class A management experience from Club Corp., where he spent 10 years; Barton Creek Resort and Spa, where he helped coordinate the golf operations program for more than 1,200 members; and most recently at Koasati Pines at Coushatta Casino Resort, where he spent three years as sales manager.
The 7,200-yard semi-private golf course at Gray Plantation was named Best Place to Play in 2007 by Golf Digest and received the highest rating in Louisiana by ZagatSurvey's 2007 edition of America's Top Golf Courses.
